The grain on this sleeve is already starting to develop a subtle patina after just a few weeks of daily use, which is exactly what I hoped for. It slides over my skillet handle snugly and feels sturdy enough to protect against heat during cooking.
The full-grain leather arrived with that rich, slightly earthy smell, and just from a week of use I can already see the patina starting to form. It wraps my skillet perfectly snug, so no more worrying about scratches in the cabinet.
The leather itself feels nice and sturdy, exactly what I'd expect from full-grain. But the sleeve fits my skillet a bit too snugly, so getting it on and off takes some wrestling. It'll probably loosen up with use, but for now it's a bit of a hassle.
