The lid fits so snugly that steam barely escapes, and the enamel inside has held up beautifully through a month of nightly stews. Even the handle stays cool enough to grab without a mitt, which is a small thing but means a lot when you're juggling dinner.
Baked a loaf of sourdough in it last weekend and the heat retention is unreal—that thick cast iron kept the crust crackly for hours. It's heavy enough to feel solid but the handles are comfy to grip with mitts on, and cleanup was just a quick wipe after it cooled.
The lid fits so snugly that barely any steam escapes, and the enamel interior has held up beautifully through daily braises and bread bakes. It's heavy, but that heft translates into the most even heat distribution I've had in a pot. Already picturing handing this down someday.
