Cast it myself into a family heirloom the moment I unboxed it—that bare, chemical-free surface means I can season it exactly how my grandmother did. Sunday chili tastes different already, and the 250-year anniversary engraving is a nice nod to the tradition we're carrying on.

It's a hefty piece of cast iron, for sure, but the lack of any chemical coating means I could season it right out of the box without worry. Cooking cornbread in it came out with a perfect crust, and I'm glad it's built to hand down.
